The time has come that I make a post about paralives. I've heard about paralives a few months back and a lot of videos were recorded by sim youtubers. I don't really like videos explaining updates with all the footage they have in the background, but I wanted to share my opinion on Paralives too.

First impressions
When I first saw some footage I was amazed by everything. You can adjust your furniture easily, how cool is that. You can change a lot of things, there's a color wheel and last week Maggie was revealed and you could adjust her height. Her loft looks awesome, it has a cozy vibe and is decorated beautifully.
Concerns
I am not concerned about the creators but more their community. I mean, what if their expectations are too high. I'm sure the Paralives team puts a lot of energy in their game but they are only with a few people and have a small budget, so they can't take care of everything. They already showed us a lot of things we miss in the sims and people are now hating on the sims because of it.
Comparison
I absolutely hate that everyone compares the sims to Paralives. It's another simulation game, they can both exist. On every Sims video made there's a comment about how bad ts4 is and how good Paralives is even though the game didn't even come out yet. Paralives looks really good tbh, I'm not going to lie, but I think this puts stress on the makers of the game too. In the Paralives discord they talk a lot about The Sims and if I was the creator I wouldn't like it if everyone was constantly talking about The Sims. Let's be honest here, even though Paralives looks great and we constantly complain about The Sims, we still buy expansions.
Competition
I know I don't like Paralives being compared The Sims, but it does have it's benefits. The Sims will probably put more effort in their expansions in the future (it's not a sure thing though, it's a big company and a lot of people will still buy their stuff). I don't see Paralives as a huge threat for the company.
Donations
Since the reveal of Maggie, they got a lot of support and money on their Patreon, it's crazy. The amount of money increased so much, but is it enough for this game? They make a lot of promises I'm looking forward to, let's hope they keep them.
I wonder what happens when people start donating less, will Alex still be able to afford people and keep them?
I think the game is far from ready and it will take a very long time before it will be released, I hope the community doesn't lose interest and stops donating.
My conclusion: I'm really looking forward to play both The Sims and Paralives on my computer. Paralives has a lot of potential and The Sims will hopefully listen to the players more.
